The city council recently approved a bid that aligns with local "Safe Routes to School" plans.

A recently approved bid for a local Safe Routes to School project will lead to several benefits for Rosemount schoolchildren.

The Rosemount City Council gave the go-ahead to the plan at its last regular meeting, according to Rosemount Town Pages.

It will allow, "The construction of a 5-foot sidewalk along the north side of 144th Street from Chili Avenue to Cameo Avenue; an 8-foot trail at Shannon Park Elementary School; and an LED crosswalk sign at Evermoor Parkway and Creggs Circle."
