Pay Raise for District 196 Superintendent Up For School Board Consideration
Discussions of the district's capital expenditures and changes to the district calendar also are on the agenda for Monday's school board meeting.

The District 196 school board is slated to discuss Superintendent Jane Berenz's performance and potential new contract at its Monday meetings.
Berenz's three-year contract ends this summer, and proposed is another three-year contract with a salary increase of about 3.78 percent, to $192,000 annually, as well as increases in number of sick days and vacation days, and an increase in her retirement plan match.
Board members will discuss Berenz's performance and stipulations of her contract at their 5 p.m. workshop, and will report the results and decide whether to approve a new contract at the 6 p.m. regular meeting; both meetings will be held at in Apple Valley.
