Search Continues in Apple Valley, Lakeville for Dog Lost for 3 Weeks

Thelma, a white Great Pyrenees, ran from the parking lot of Southfork Animal Hospital in Lakeville on Feb. 13; owners say there was a possible sighting in Apple Valley.

Three weeks after bolting from her foster mom's arms, the search continues in for a missing dog who could have run to Apple Valley.

Thelma is a snow-white Great Pyrenees, though her color may be a bit dirty now. Her collar and a leash are likely still attached, and she's been seen in various Lakeville locations over the past few weeks.

There recently was a possible sighting of Thelma in Apple Valley in the area of 140th Street West between Johnny Cake Ridge Road and Diamond Path, in the open areas behind schools, athletic fields and restaurants.

She originally bolted from her family at  in Lakeville on Feb. 13.

Charyl Roth, the dog's owner, described Thelma as all white with a black nose, approximately 85 pounds, with lots of hair.

Thelma has a good temperament, but she may be scared. According to her family, Thelma does not come when called and is very shy. Calling for her will likely result in her running, the owners say.
