Residents who drive on Dodd Boulevard between Cedar Avenue and County Road 60 will face a detour starting on Monday, June 10.
That's when a portion of Dodd Boulevard, as well as a portion of Highview Avenue near its intersection with Dodd, will close for construction.
Dodd Boulevard also is known as County Road 9.

Here is the specific closing information from Dakota County’s current road construction website:
County Road 9 from 183rd Street to 175th Street and Highview Avenue from 1,100 feet south of County Road 9 to 175th Street is scheduled to close to traffic at 6 a.m. on Monday, June 10. Traffic should follow the posted detour [click on “posted detour for a PDF map].

The street closure is part of the construction project that calls for Dodd Boulevard to be rebuilt as a four-lane divided road and for a roundabout to be built at the intersection of Dodd and Highview Avenue, says the county website. The reconstruction of 1,100 feet of Highland between Dodd and 175th Street is also part of the project.
The website says the project is set to be finished by late September.
Here is the project’s construction timetable for today (June 6) through June 15:
Dodd Boulevard
• Install erosion control devices.
• Remove the existing pavement.
• Begin grading the roadway.
• Install watermain.
• Relocate private utilities (phone, electric, etc.).
Highview Avenue
• Install erosion control devices.
• Remove the existing pavement.
• Relocate private utilities (phone, electric, etc.).
