Senate Candidate Goes Into Labor During Endorsement Convention: Report
Erin Maye Quade withdrew from the convention to go give birth at the hospital, but is still considering running in the August primaries.
APPLE VALLEY, MN — Minnesota State Senate candidate Erin Maye Quade, of Apple Valley, went into labor at the state's recent DFL endorsement convention, according to a report by The Minneapolis Star Tribune.
She ended up withdrawing from the convention to go give birth at the hospital, but is still considering running in the August primaries, the publication reported.
Justin Emmerich ended up getting the endorsement on the next ballot, the report said. May Quade asked Emmerich to suspend the convention and he said he would get back to her, but she ended up withdrawing to go to the hospital, according to the publication.
