Update: Northbound I-35E, Cedar Avenue Closures Rescheduled for Midnight

The Minnesota Department of Transportation has rescheduled the northbound Interstate 35E lane closures for one day earlier than previously expected.

Starting midnight on July 24, MnDOT crews will shift all traffic on I-35E between Cedar Avenue and Diffley Road to the southbound side of the road. The single lane head to head traffic will be in effect up to the I-35/35W/35E split until July 31. 

Northbound I-35E ramps at Cedar Avenue will close at the same time. A signed detour will be posted.

Traffic delays are expected, MnDOT warned.

The closures are part of the I-35E improvement project.
