Walz Appoints New Judge In MN's First Judicial District
Kathryn Iverson Landrum will serve as the new district court judge in Minnesota's First Judicial District.

MINNESOTA — Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced that he appointed Kathryn Iverson Landrum as the new district court judge in Minnesota's First Judicial District, which includes Dakota County, as well as Carver, Goodhue, Le Sueur, McLeod, Scott, and Sibley Counties.
Iverson Landrum will be replacing Joseph Carter and will be chambered in Hastings, Walz said.
“I am honored to appoint Kathryn Iverson Landrum to the First Judicial District,” Walz said. “Ms. Iverson Landrum is a true public servant, and she will provide a valuable perspective to the Dakota County bench. I am confident that she will be an excellent judge for years to come.”

Iverson Landrum is a manager and assistant attorney general at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General, Walz said. She previously served as an honors attorney for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and also clerked for Richard Griffin on the on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and Richard Kyle on the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, according to Walz.
Iverson Landrum earned her Bachelor's degree from Macalester College and her J.D. from Hamline University School of Law, Walz said.
