Back To School: Burnsville 2021-22 School Calendar

BURNSVILLE, MN — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Burnsville, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Independent School District 191.

The first day of school for most students in Burnsville is Sept. 8.

Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Burnsville.

ISD 191 has not made any decisions regarding a mask policy for 2021-22 yet.

"We have not made any decisions yet," Aaron Tinklenberg, communications director for the district, told Patch. "With guidance and the community health situation changing regularly, we're continuing to monitor those both and we'll make and announce a decision when we get closer to the school year."

Here is the list of dates to know for this school year:

Independent School District 191

First Day: Sept. 8, Regular classes for Kindergarten will begin Sept. 10

Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26

Winter Break: Dec. 23-31

Spring Break: March 28-April 1

Last Day: June 9
