BURNSVILLE, MN — The Burnsville community is working to raise funds to build a statue of Burnsville High School hockey coach Tom Osiecki and place the statue at the Burnsville Ice Center.According to the <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/tom-osiecki-statue" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">GoFundMe</a>'s description, Nick Legeros has been commissioned to build the statue. Legeros built the Sid Hartman sculpture at The Target Center in Minneapolis and the Goldy Gopher statue at the University of Minnesota, Pete Heunisch, the <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/tom-osiecki-statue" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">fundraiser</a>'s organizer, said in the description.Osiecki founded the Burnsville hockey program, coaching from 1966-1990, Heunisch said.
