Crystal Lake Beach Closed For Preventative Treatment

BURNSVILLE, MN — Crystal Lake Beach is temporarily closed while crews do preventative treatment against the invertebrates that cause swimmer's itch, the city of Burnsville said.

The beach will reopen Wednesday, the city said.

The crews are also doing treatments to prevent certain types of plants and algae in order to make the water in the lake clearer, the city said. This will make the lake more pleasant for swimmers, according to the city.
