Man Dies After Being Hit By Car In Burnsville: MSP

Robert Smith​, 31, was crossing northbound on Nicollet Avenue at Highway 13​ when he was hit by a man driving a 2005 Saturn, MSP said.

BURNSVILLE, MN — A Prior Lake man was fatally hit by a car in Burnsville Sunday afternoon, according to Minnesota State Patrol.

Robert Westly Smith, 31, was crossing northbound on Nicollet Avenue at Highway 13 when he was hit by an Oakdale man driving a 2005 Saturn L300, MSP said.

The unidentified driver of the Saturn was not injured in the crash, and no alcohol was involved, according to MSP.

Smith was brought to Hennepin County Medical Center, MSP said.

Other responding agencies included the Burnsville Police Department, Burnsville Fire Department and Burnsville EMS, MSP said.
