• Byron City Council approves 2026 final tax levy (kaaltv.com) — Byron homeowners will see higher property tax bills in 2026 after the City Council approved an 11.5% increase in its debt and operating levy, totaling about $6.64 million. While the overall levy is rising, Byron’s tax rate is actually edging down, and the money will fund general operations, debt service, and major projects like a new roundabout, fire hall expansion, and park upgrades.
