Best Buy Unveils New Store Designs in Metro Area

WHAT:

This weekend, Twin Cities residents are invited to attend Best Buy’s grand re-opening celebrations in three locations including: Maplewood, Coon Rapids and Eagan. A recently opened Eden Prairie location will also hold celebrations this weekend. The stores each have new features and designs which allow for a more interactive and accessible shopping experience. Festivities include the following:  

Saturday, October 13:       

• Breakfast fare will be served starting at 7:30 a.m.       
• Opening ceremonies including: Band performance, ribbon cutting (8:45 a.m. -9:00 a.m.)
• First 300 customers (18 or older) will receive a gift bag with a mystery Best Buy gift card valued between $10 and $1000 when the doors open at 9:00 a.m.
• Gopher Gear wins a prize—Show up wearing University of Minnesota apparel and get entered to win two tickets and transportation to the Gopher’s homecoming game later that morning
• Ben Revere of the Minnesota Twins appearances and photographs from 11:00 a.m. at the Coon Rapids location; and 2:30 p.m. at the Eagan location
• Bob Lurtsema of the Minnesota Vikings Alumni appearance and photographs starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Maplewood location
• Kevin VanDeraa of the Food Network Cupcake Wars appearances, demonstrations and samples starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Eden Prairie location; and 3:00 p.m. at the Maplewood location
• Text to win for exciting prizes – all day long in-store   

Sunday, October 14: ·        

• Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves appearance and photographs starting at 12:00 p.m. at the Eden Prairie location

*For celebrity appearances, wristbands will be distributed 2 hours prior to the start time and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Maximum of 1 wristband per person.
