Senator Metzen has received multiple letters of recognition and endorsements for his work with both labor and business interests. The awards exemplify his ability to work across party lines in promoting principals that develop Minnesota as a leader in economic development and jobs.
"My belief has always been Minnesota does better when we work together in the Legislature," said Sen. Metzen. "I've never been supportive of "gotcha" politics because it hinders ideas and results in a distrustful environment."
The awards Sen. Metzen has been recognized for range from business-backed groups such as the National Federal of Independent Businesses, the Chamber of Commerce, hospitality groups, and various labor trade groups and organizations. "I am humbled and honored to have received awards from groups representing thousands of workers and their employers," stated Sen. Metzen. "It has been a privilege to work with these groups and I will continue to work in a bipartisan manner."
"I would not have been able to do the work I had without my constituents’ support," said Sen. Metzen. "Because of the diverse people in my district believing in my work at the Legislature, I have had the ability to accomplish some positive outcomes for our community."
