Applications For Touchstone Energy Community Award Now Accepted
The application deadline is Nov. 1.
DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Dakota Electric Association announced that applications for the Touchstone Energy Community Award are now open.
Applications will close Nov. 1, the association said. Applicants will be reviewed based on project scope, use of resources and the impact or value to the community, according to the association.
The award recognizes non-profit groups and community organizations that have shown commitment to the community, the association said.

Dakota Electric said it will give three awards, along with three checks for $500. One of the award recipients will be chosen to contend with other winners in the state for the Minnesota Touchstone Energy Community Award and a cash prize of $1,000, the association said.
“As a member-owned electric cooperative serving this area, we are committed to
community involvement,” President and CEO Greg Miller said. “This award allows us to
highlight and encourage those organizations that have shown an outstanding commitment to the
community.”
