Body Recovered From Schultz Lake Beach: Sheriff

The man's body was recovered Tuesday morning by Eagan Fire Department.

EAGAN, MN — Eagan Police and Fire Departments, along with the Dakota County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a body in the water at Schultz Lake Beach Tuesday morning, the Sheriff's Office said.

The Eagan Fire Department recovered a man shortly after near the swimming area, officials said.

Park security cameras show a man matching the description of the victim walking toward the beach on Sunday holding a towel, officials said.

The beach was closed Tuesday morning during the recovery but has since re-opened, officials said.

The Sheriff's Office said it is investigating the incident and that the victim won't be identified to the public until his identity is confirmed and his family is notified.
