Dakota County Charity Basketball Tournament Is Saturday

Proceeds from the event will go to families of fallen Minnesota peace officers.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — The 10th annual Ballin' in Dakota County basketball tournament will take place Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at Burnsville High School, according to a news release from the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.

The tournament raises money for the families of fallen Minnesota peace officers, and all proceeds will go to the organization Concerns of Police Survivors, which supports this cause, officials said.

There will also be games for people of all ages, concessions and a raffle of donated items, officials said. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend, according to officials.
