District 196 Enrollment Increases Less Than 1 Percent
The senior class at the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan is the largest at 2,113 students.

Enrollment at District 196 is slightly more than last year's enrollment, the district reported.
On Oct. 1 there were 34 more students this year than last October. The total number of students enrolled this year in all district schools is 27,202. The total enrollment of K-12 students only is 25,993—a total that is 48 more students than the district projected last year while preparing the preliminary budget for this current school year.
A few numbers from the district:
Enrollment across the elementary through high school levels as well as other programs saw both increases and decreases compared to last year's enrollment. For instance, the number of high school students fell by 152 students to 8,319 while the number of elementary students increased by 138 to 11,679.
The smallest class is the kindergarten at 1,782 students, and the largest class is the 12th graders at 2,113 students.
The final budget will reflect the Oct. 1 enrollment numbers, according to the release.
