Eagan To Celebrate Arbor Day May 11

The city has also declared May to be Arbor Month.

EAGAN , MN — The city of Eagan will celebrate Arbor Day May 11 from 4-6 p.m. at Holz Farm, but said it has declared the month of May as Arbor Month.

The city shared that trees are a part of its identity, selling over 12,000 trees in the past 30 years during the annual tree sale.

"Arbor Day is more than just planting trees or creating posters," city forester Adam Schnaible said. "It is about understanding the importance of trees in our environment and appreciating their important role in our lives. The City of Eagan shares that, and values that. In fact, we value it so much, our City logo is literally a tree."
