EAGAN, MN — Eagan native and Broadway star Laura Osnes, 35, lost her starring role in a Broadway production after refusing to get vaccinated for COVID-19, The St. Paul Pioneer Press reported.

Osnes was to star in a one-night production of “Crazy for You” later this month at Guild Hall in New York, according to a report by the New York Post. The venue requires staff and performers to be vaccinated or show a negative COVID test, but Osnes publicly announced that she "doesn't trust the jab," according to the report.

The New York Post also reported that Osnes' would-be co-star Tony Yazbeck pressed her to get vaccinated, as he has two kids at home.
