Eagan Research Company Plans Laboratory Expansion

Power Systems Research has proposed a 1,200 foot addition to its office in north Eagan.

A local research firm has submitted plans for a new laboratory space.

Power Systems Research hopes to build a 1,200 square foot addition to its office on Corporate Center Curve. The small addition, which will account for less than 10 percent of the building's footprint, will be used as a laboratory for research into motors, engines, power systems, and material testing of motor components. no operation maintenance or manufacturing of the power systems under observation.

The proposal went before the city Planning Commission on July 23. The city council will take up the matter on Monday. If approved, construction will begin this summer. The addition should be completed before the end of the year.
