1. Eagan Police: No Ongoing Threat After School Closures (patch.com) — Parents and students in Eagan are being reassured after District 196 high schools reopened, with police saying there is no credible ongoing threat following online messages that shut schools on Tuesday. Eagan officers, still maintaining an increased presence and close coordination with school administrators, stress that online threats and even “joke” posts can bring serious legal consequences and urge residents to report concerning activity immediately.
   

2. Initial Vikings vs. Giants Injury Report for Week 16 of 2025 (statenews.net) — The Vikings released their initial Week 16 injury report from team headquarters in Eagan after holding only a walk-through ahead of Sunday’s home game against the Giants. While participation levels are estimated for now, full practices and final game status updates are scheduled for later this week.
   

3. Judy Heilman Konop (yourvalley.net) — Longtime Transport Corporation of America employee Judy Heilman Konop, who spent over 30 years working in Eagan, has died at age 74 after a battle with cancer. Raised in northern Minnesota and later living in Rosemount, she was known for her deep faith, service to others, and love of travel, with memorial services planned in Arizona this January.
   

4. Minnesota governor orders state to collect gun-related insurance claims data for violence prevention (statescoop.com) — Minnesota’s governor has ordered state agencies to collect gun-related insurance data and expand use of Extreme Risk Protection Orders, a move highlighted by his visit to Deerwood Elementary in Eagan earlier this school year. The new executive orders also create a Statewide Safety Council to recommend policies aimed at preventing mass violence and politically motivated attacks across the state.
