
Mariammah Subramaniam
Mariammah Subramaniam, of Eagan, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the age of 80.
Mariammah, or “Amma” to everyone who knew her, was born on April 11, 1933. As an adult, she taught at the Women’s Agricultural School in Thinnevelly, Sri Lanka. In 1993, she came to the U.S. to live with her children and grandchildren.
"She was an amazing woman with a generous heart who touched people all over the world with her kindness and love of God," her family writes.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Sinniah Subramaniam; brother, Adaikalam; sister, Loorthamma, and sister Kanakamma.
Subramaniam is survived by her loving children, Eva (Elizabeth) Anton and Ann (Noel) Thompson; siblings, Thevarajah, Agnes and Ratnasothy; grandchildren, Sondra, Suriya, Evan and Ethan; and special nieces and nephews.
Memorials will be donated to Atchuvely Orphanage and Convent, Atchuvely, Sri Lanka.
