Eagan Residents: Recycle Your Pumpkins for Free

Dakota Valley Recycling has organized the pumpkin collection event.

Instead of tossing after-Halloween pumpkins in the garbage, Eagan residents can drop them off at the Eagan Community Center.

Dakota Valley Recycling has organized the pumpkin collection, which is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Pumpkins collected during that time will be sent to a organics recycling center so that they can be composted.

The recycling center cannot accept painted pumpkins and residents should remove any candle wax from inside carved pumpkins.

Kids can receive a treat if they drop off a pumpkin with an adult.

The Eagan Community Center is located at 1501 Central Parkway.
