Local Organization Fundraises To Send Socks, Underwear To Ukrainians
The goal is to send 10,000 pairs of socks and underwear to Ukrainian refugees.
EAGAN, MN — Dakota County organization "The Drawer" is fundraising to send 10,000 pairs of socks and underwear to Ukrainian refugees.
Gina Lindquist, executive director of The Drawer, said the organization will send the items to its partners Wisconsin Ukrainians Inc. and The White Eagle Club in London.
The project, "Sending Dignity to Ukraine" is half-way to its $10,000 goal and has until May 25 to collect funds, according to its website. It will receive a $5,000 match from GiveMN.

Community members are also collecting socks and underwear in addition to money, Lindquist said. The items will range from kids' smaller sizes all the way to larger mens' sizes, she told Patch.
The Drawer will relocate to Eagan in May, Lindquist said.
