Pet of the Week: Scarlet is Gentle, Sweet and Loving

Editor's note: This is a weekly series called "Pet of the Week" where we feature a companion up for adoption from Dakota County animal rescues.

Sweet Scarlet has the most endearing personality. She is gentle, sensitive, and loving.

She's very small for a redbone, and weighs about 45 pounds.

Scarlet is being fostered for a 501(c)3 rescue in Lakeville and is doing very well in her foster home. She gets along great with dogs of all sizes and also with cats. She enjoys having people around and walks well on a leash. She's crate trained and housetrained when let out on a schedule. Scarlet sleeps up on the bed and sleeps right through the night.

She will do best in a home where someone is around much of the time. Scarlet is now spayed, microchipped, and fully vetted. Please email for more information on how to adopt Scarlet at happyhoundrescue@aol.com.
