This is noteworthy because Williams is the domino for life after Eric Sugarman, who left the organization earlier this week after 16 years of employment.

Williams’ resume is impressive, fostering a culture of good health (a lack of missed football games) by Rams players. In the last handful of seasons, Los Angeles experienced relatively few missed games by its players:

The Vikings, on the other hand, have been beset by widespread injury maladies, especially on defense. Danielle Hunter, Michael Pierce, Adam Thielen, Dalvin Cook, Eric Kendricks, and Anthony Barr all missed substantial time in the last two seasons for Minnesota.

With the Williams-for-Sugarman changeup, perhaps the Vikings injury luck will stabilize.
