Shipt Surprises Eagan Teacher With School Supplies

When Shipt found out that the teacher was also a Shipt shopper, it wanted to give back by featuring her and donating school supplies.

EAGAN, MN — A teacher at Pinewood Elementary School was recently surprised by Shipt with three carts of school supplies.

Shipt is a company that provides personal shopping and delivery, according to a news release it sent Patch.

When Shipt found that third grade teacher Jill Marsh was also a Shipt shopper, it wanted to celebrate her and help her get supplies for the upcoming school year, Shipt said.

Marsh shared that Shipt contacted her in June and asked if she would mind being spotlighted.

"Shipt really wanted to do something to show teacher appreciation," Marsh said. "They asked if I would mind being spotlighted, and telling my story and then it led into them offering supplies for classroom."

Marsh shared that she was relieved to have received the school supplies.

"There's a greater need in our community for the kids needing supplies, so as a teacher, it just felt like a relief that I was going to be able to pass those on to my students," she said. "It was just a nice, generous surprise."
