'Tech Drive Tuesday' To Collect Laptops For Students

EAGAN, MN — 2021 Tech Drive Tuesday is a donation event that collects technology for students.

The Eagan event will take place Tuesday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union off of Diffley Road, the business said. The donation event is co-hosted by Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Kare11 and Minnesota Computers for Schools, according to the business.

Laptops donated should be five years old or newer, and for every laptop donated, the Affinity Plus Foundation will donate $150 to Minnesota Computers for Schools to purchase another repurposed laptop for a student or school in the community, the business said.

The donation event will be contactless in the Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union parking lot, the business said.

"This event is a way to create more digital equity as it allows for computer equipment to be re-housed and repurposed for students of all ages," Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union said.
