Twin Cities Kidney Walk, Therapy Dogs and Art

Eagan weekend events from Oct. 11-13.

2013 Twin Cities Kidney Walk

The purpose of the walk is to "raise funds to support free kidney health screenings, organ donation initiatives, patient advocacy, vital research, education resources, and public, patient and professional programs and services right here in our community."

Time: Saturday at 9 a.m.

Halloween Swap

If you dropped off a Halloween costume earlier in the week, head to the Eagan Community Center with your tickets to receive a "new" reused costume.

Time: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Location: 1501 Central Parkway

Waggin' Tales at the Wescott Library

Children ages 5 to 10 will have the opportunity to read to certified therapy dogs. The activity helps reading skills, according to the information on the event page.

Time: Saturday, 10:30 a.m.
Location: 1340 Wescott Road

Eagan Art House

Sheila McNellis Asato will teach a traditional Japanese bookbinding class at the Eagan Art House. The class is $30 per person, including supplies. Pre-registration is required.

Time: Saturday, Oct. 12 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Location: 3981 Lexington Avenue South
