Ziegler Drops Out Of School Board Race
There are now 15 candidates for ISD 196's School Board.

DAKOTA COUNTY, MN — Kaia Ziegler has announced that she is stepping down from District 196's School Board Elections.
Sept. 19, Ziegler shared the following on her campaign's Facebook page:
"This morning I am announcing that I am informally withdrawing as an ISD 196 School Board Candidate this election season," she wrote.

"On Thursday, the Dakota County United Educators released who they have endorsed this election season," she continued. "Unfortunately, I was not one of them."
She continued that her goals for running included efforts to strengthen the district's efforts in diversity, equity and inclusion. She stated that she didn't not want to split votes amongst candidates who share her values.

"To those who have supported me and my campaign through donating, volunteering, hosting a lawn sign, and conversation, thank you," she said. "Your support means so much to me. Please know that this was not a decision I made lightly."
"I am excited to keep showing up in and with my community to ensure that each and every ISD 196 student is given the opportunity to have 'infinite possibilities,'" she continued.
This leaves ISD 196 with 15 candidates for the School Board elections.
