Could EP's Football Coach Replace John Gagliardi at St. John's?
Eden Prairie's Mike Grant is one of the people named as a possible successor to the college coach with the most wins in history.

Mike Grant, son of Bud Grant and coach of the Eden Prairie Eagles football team, could be heading to St. John's University in Collegeville.
Grant is one of two possible successors to John Gagliardi, St. John's football coach, who announced his retirement Monday. Grant's name was floated in a New York Times article; the second person mentioned is Gagliardi's son, Jim.
The Pioneer Press said candidates for the job also include defensive assistant Gary Fasching and University of Idago offensive line coach Gordie Shaw, who used to hold the same position at the University of Minnesota.

Grant told the Pioneer Press he is focused on beating Lakeville North on Friday, not on Gagliardi's job.
"I've never been interested in John's job because I wanted John to coach forever," Grant told the Pioneer Press. "For me, one of my great thrills in life, really, is to be able to go back to St. John's and feel like I'm 20 years old again every time I go there and see John coaching or talk to him when I'm there."
