Does This Moon Look 'Super' To You?
They say the moon doesn't get any closer or fuller. Did you see it Sunday night?

With no storms on Sunday night, the skies cooperated over Eden Prairie to see the "supermoon."

The moon was at perigee—its closest approach to Earth, according to Astronomy magazine's website—this weekend. That means the moon will be only 221,824 miles away from us.

EarthSky says the Supermoon was officially full at 6:32 a.m. CDT Sunday, with the actual perigee about 20 minutes earlier, according to Astronomy, and it was full the evening of Sunday, June 23, 2013.
EarthSky says this is the closest the moon will be to Earth until Aug. 10, 2014.
