• Eden Prairie volunteer chaplain charged in August hit-and-run (hometownsource.com) — A longtime Eden Prairie volunteer chaplain has been charged in connection with an August hit-and-run that seriously injured a young child and her family in a Mitchell Road crosswalk. Eden Prairie police say the chaplain is no longer serving, and the chief expressed support for the family as the injured 2-year-old continues to recover.
   

• ICE detains Eden Prairie man; Chanhassen standoff follows (eplocalnews.org) — Federal immigration agents recently detained a father outside his Eden Prairie apartment, an encounter his family says left their 13-year-old son injured and traumatized and has raised questions about ICE tactics in the city. Community members have begun monitoring enforcement activity, including a tense standoff at a Chanhassen construction site, while the family struggles with medical needs, lost income, and uncertainty about the father’s whereabouts.
