Eden Prairie District On National AP Honor Roll
For the third year in a row, the district is on the list that this year includes 539 districts across the U.S and Canada.

The Eden Prairie School District is on the AP Honor Roll again this year. Eden Prairie has been on the list each of the three years it has been released.
All districts on the list "simultaneously increasing access to Advanced Placement course work while increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams," according to a news release from The College Board.
Eden Prairie is one of 539 districts in the U.S. and Canada, and 11 in the state, on this year's list.

According to a district news release, "Achieving both of these goals is the ideal scenario for a district’s AP program because it indicates that the district is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are likely to benefit most from rigorous AP course work."
Data from 2010 to 2012 is used to determine which districts made the list. Criteria includes:

- Increasing participation or access to AP courses
- Ensuring that the percentage of minority students who are taking the AP test did not decrease by more than 5 percent
- Improving performance levels by comparing the percentage of students scoring a 3 or higher
"At EPHS the number of students overall taking AP courses has steadily increased, by 10 percent last year and 7 percent this year," according to the district. "Seventy-eight percent of all AP exams taken by EPHS students in 2012 earned a 3 or higher."
