Eden Prairie Student Places Second in Spelling Bee

A Forest Hills Elementary student was runner-up to Roseville 13-year-old.

Nidhi Jois attends Forest Hills Elementary, according to the article. "After misspelling 'jicama' in the 12th round, she was eliminated."

According to the Eden Prairie News, "Nidhi competed with students in grades four through six from around the metro area to become one of the top 50 spellers" before attending the metro bee on Saturday.

A Roseville student will represent Minnesota in the Scripps National Spelling Bee, according to twincities.com. 

Jacob Lahti, 13, spelling "mobiliary" and "Rembrandt" to win the bee on Saturday.
