The project proposes to construct a new two-lane roadway with shoulders, a continuous left-turn lane, right-turn lanes at key intersections, and a multi-use trail on the north side of the roadway.
The goals are to replace the existing pavement, improve safety, and minimize transportation disruptions caused by seasonal flooding of the Minnesota River. Construction is proposed for 2015 through 2017.
