• Soaring Bird art at the community center
Have you checked out Eden Prairie's newest public art exhibit?
The “Soaring Bird: Peace Through Service” sculpture is a public art project that was commissioned as a partnership between our two Eden Prairie Rotary clubs and the city of Eden Prairie. Check out City Manager Rick Getschow's blog for more information on the project.

Eden Prairie residents Chris and Sophie Farmer will compete at the 2013 National Family Tennis Championships Central Super Regional Playoff July 26-28. Chris and Sophie, who is 16, play at Reed-Sweatt Tennis Center. They will compete in the father/daughter division to advance to the national championship.
• Food for thoughtOnly one in six low-income children who ate a school lunch during the regular school year is reached by the federally-funded Summer Nutrition Program. PROP and Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless announce the fourth annual $150,000 Food Shelf Challenge Grant. The more funds raised locally in July means the local Open Your Heart grant will be larger, according to a recent blog on Eden Prairie Patch.
