• Ancient tools, long way home - Eden Prairie Local News (eplocalnews.org) — Ancient Native American stone tools with documented ties to Eden Prairie have been returned and are now on public display at the Eden Prairie Historical Society Museum in City Center. Resident John Mallo rescued the artifacts from a Wisconsin antique shop, traced their 1939 origins along the Minnesota River valley, and donated them so locals can better understand who lived here long before the city existed.
   

• Space invaders (eplocalnews.org) — Invasive plants like garlic mustard, buckthorn, and honeysuckle are overrunning Eden Prairie parks, but local volunteers are fighting back with city support. Friends of Eden Prairie Parks and Wild Ones members spend hundreds of hours pulling weeds, replanting natives, and testing safer removal methods to protect local wildlife, trails, and even beloved spots like Fredrick Miller Spring.
