Registration for Eden Prairie's Citizens Police Academy Closes Tuesday

Adults ages 18 and older, who live or work in Eden Prairie can apply.

If you're looking to get a behind the scenes glimpse of the Eden Prairie Police Department's operation, you're in luck.

The department's 2013 Citizens Academy begins Sept. 24 and lasts through Oct. 29. The six-week course is held from 5:30-9 p.m. each *Tuesday during the session at police headquarters, with dinner provided.

According to the department, Citizens Academy is an opportunity for members of the Eden Prairie community to gain first-hand experience and behind the scene knowledge about Police Department operations.

Adults ages 18 and older, who live or work in Eden Prairie can apply. Qualified applicants will be entered into a lottery and notified by Aug. 30 if they have been chosen to participate.


Applications are being accepted until Tuesday, Aug. 27. An application can be downloaded on the city's website.
