What's Open and Closed on Thanksgiving?

Most businesses will be closed Thursday, but some will be open that night as an early start to Black Friday.


Here's a listing of what Eden Prairie businesses and establishments will be opened or closed on Thanksgiving.

Banks: Most banks are closed on Thursday, but you should check with your particular branch.

Businesses: Some businesses could choose to close Thursday and/or Friday. Please call ahead before heading out to shop. Several Eden Prairie big-box stores will open Thursday night.

City offices: The City Center will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Community Center: The Community Center will be closed Thursday, but open starting at 5:30 a.m. Friday.

Fire: Firefighters will be working on Thursday and Friday.

Garbage: Check with your carrier for how pickup service will be affected by the holiday.

Library: The Eden Prairie Library will be closed Thursday. It will be open regular hours Friday.

Police: Police officers will be on duty Thursday and Friday.

Senior Center: The Senior Center is closed on Thursday and Friday.

Transportation: Southwest Transit is closed Thursday and Friday.
