20-Somethings Cited for Drinking in Strachauer Park

Monday, Aug. 20

• Police responded to LA Fitness on a report of theft. An unknown person stole credit cards valued at $2 from a locker at the fitness center.
• Police responded to the Southdale YMCA on a report of theft. An unknown person stole cash and credit cards valued at $82 from a locker at the fitness center.
• Police responded to the 5600 block of York Avenue South on a report of theft. An unknown person stole $5 in cash from an unlocked vehicle.
• Police responded to Target on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a wallet and contents valued at $300 from a victim while she was at the store.
• Police responded to the 5500 block of Oak Glen Road on a report of a runaway.
• A 57-year-old Edina man was arrested for 4th degree DWI after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the 7000 block of York Avenue South.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

• Police responded to the Braemar Ice Arena parking lot on a report of property damage. An unknown person damaged a construction vehicle that was parked in the ice arena parking lot.
• Police responded to Centennial Lakes Park on a report of property damage. An unknown person reportedly damaged a sculpture in the park.
• Police responded to the 5200 block of Grandview Square on a report of possible auto theft. The vehicle was located and no theft occurred, according to police.
• Police responded to the 4000 block of West 44th Street on a report of theft. An unknown person stole cash and a knife valued at $35 from an unlocked vehicle.

Wednesday, Aug. 22

• A 15-year-old boy was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and fleeing police after he came into contact with officers near the intersection of West 70th Street and Limerick Lane.
• A 58-year-old Coon Rapids man was arrested for 4th degree DWI after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the 5800 block of westbound Hwy. 62.
• A 52-year-old Richfield man was arrested for consuming liquor in a public place.
• Police responded to the 6400 block of France Avenue South on a report of theft. Hub caps valued at $75 were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked in the Fairview Southdale Hospital parking ramp.
• Police responded to Starbucks on a report of theft. An uknown person stole a wallet and its contents valued at $27 from a customer at the coffee shop.

Thursday, Aug. 23

• A 21-year-old Bloomington man, three 21-year-old Edina residents and one 20-year-old Edina woman were cited for being in Strachauer Park after hours. One of the 21-year-old Edina men was also cited for unauthorized liquor consumption during the call.
