AUDIO: Senator Franzen Previews Legislative Session
Melisa Franzen (DFL) spoke with MPR's Morning Edition Tuesday morning about her first session at the Capitol.

The 2013-14 legislative session kicked off Tuesday morning, Jan. 8, with Edina's newly elected officials taking over at the Capitol.
In addition to State Reps. Ron Erhardt (DFL) and Paul Rosenthal (DFL), Sen. Melisa Franzen (DFL) is taking over a previously Republican spot for Edina. While Erhardt and Rosenthal have both already served in the Legislature, this is Franzen's first time representing Edina.
