Burglar Steals Woman's Purse, Drives Off in her Vehicle
Police were also arrested three Minneapolis residents after responding to a disturbance at Tavern on France.

Thursday, Aug. 23
- Police responded to the 5500 block of Zenith Avenue South on a report of burglary and vehicle theft. An unknown person reportedly entered a residence to steal a purse, then made off with the resident's vehicle. The total theft is placed at $3,150.
- Police responded to LA Fitness on a report of theft. An unknown person stole credit cards valued at $3 from a locked locker at the health club.
- A 54-year-old New Hope man was arrested for diving after cancellation—inimical to public safety, after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the 6400 block of eastbound Hwy. 62.
- Police responded to the 7200 block of York Avenue South on a report of a burglary. An unknown person entered a residence and stole $1,622 in miscellaneous property.
- Police responded to Fairview Southdale Hospital on a report of an unknown person calling in to make terroristic threats.

- Police responded to the 5300 block of Halifax Avenue South on a report of burglary. An unknown person entered a residence through an unlocked door and stole miscellaneous property valued at $7,360.
- Police responded to the 3100 block of West 70th Street on a report of an unknown person damaging two large ceramic planters.
- Police responded to the 7200 block of Bush Lake Road on a report of stolen laptops valued at $2,600.
- Police responded to the 7400 block of France Avenue South on a report of a lost wallet.
- Police responded to the 6500 block of Barrie Road on a report of a stolen Honda motorcycle valued at $1,000.
- Police responded to LA Fitness on a report of credit cards valued at $2 from a locked locker at the health club.
- Police responded to the 7200 block of York Avenue South on a report of a burglary. An unknown person forcibly entered a residence and stole an undetermined amount of property.
- Police responded to the 5900 block of Merold Drive on a report of damage to the window of a residence.
- A 27-year-old Alexandria woman was arrested for theft after Cub Foods employees observed her attempt to steal DVDs valued at $143.88 from the Southdale store.
- A 30-year-old Wilcox, NE man was arrested for 4th degree DWI after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation in the 4900 block of Eden Avenue.
Saturday, Aug. 25
- A 26-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia after his vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation on southbound Hwy. 100.
- Police responded to the 5200 block of Interlachen Boulevard on a report of counterfeit currency.
- Police responded to the 4600 block of Oak Drive on a report of damage to a victim's lawn.
- Police responded to the 7300 block of York Avenue South on a report of a lost ring.
- Police responded to the Edina Community Center on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a $300 cell phone from an unlocked locker in the building.
- Police responded to the 5500 block of Oak Glen Road on a report of a runaway.
- Police responded to Southdale Center on a report of theft. An unknown person stole a victim's wallet and contents while he was at the mall. The loss was estimated at $20.
- A 20-year-old Minneapolis man was arrested for open bottle, driving after revocation and no insurance after he was stopped for a traffic violation on eastbound Hwy. 62.

- Police responded to Tavern on France in reference to a disturbance. They placed three Minneapolis residents under arrest for a variety of offenses. Jeewan Samogan, 20, was arrested for tampering with an automobile. Vickash Ragubir, 18, was arrested for 4th degree DWI and underage drinking and driving. Shivnarine Samogan, 18, was arrested for underage drinking.
- A 27-year-old Edina woman was arrested for 4th degree DWI and an open bottle violation after her vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of France Avenue and Grimes Lane.
- Police responded to House of Amore & Fede on a report of theft. An unidentified person was observed stealing a pair of jeans valued at $89, but was not apprehended.
