Chipotle Offering Free Entrée with Gift Card Purchase

Between now and Dec. 31, customers purchasing $30 in gift card at Chipotle can get a free burrito, bowl, order of tacos or salad.

Nothing says "Happy Holidays" quite like a free burrito.

Chipotle Mexican Grill—which has one Edina location on York Avenue—is offering customers a free burrito, bowl, order of tacos or salad whenever they purchase $30 in gift cards. The offer extends all the way to Jan. 31, though the gift cards must be purchased by Dec. 31.

To get a free entrée, customers simply need to bring along the receipt from their gift card purchase the next time they stop by Chipotle for a meal.

"We have always believed that everyone should have access to good food made with great ingredients from more sustainable sources," said Chris Arnold, communications director at Chipotle. "With this holiday promotion, we’re offering customers a little incentive to give the gift of food that is raised right."

The promotion is valid between Nov. 16 and Jan. 31 of next year, though there is a limit of one free menu item per customer. The receipt must also be the original to be eligible for the promotion.

Gift cards purchased online or at third-party retailers do not qualify. Gift cards must be purchased in a single transaction, but the purchase can be smaller gift cards totaling $30 or more.
