Edina Icer Among Finalists for 2013 Mr. Hockey Award
Parker Reno is in the running for the prestigious award. The winner will be announced on Sunday, Mar. 10, during the 29th annual Mr. Hockey Awards Banquet.
Edina High School senior Parker Reno is among 10 Minnesota hockey stars in the running for the 2013 Mr. Hockey Award.
The senior defenseman has one goal and 17 assists for the Hornets this season, with a total of four shots on goal in his 23 games.

Fellow nominee Labosky may not play for the Hornets, but the Edina native is a still a product of the city's youth hockey program.
Reno committed to the play hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute late last year.

The 29th annual Mr. Hockey Awards Banquet will take place at noon on Sunday, Mar. 10, at the Grand Ballroom of the RiverCentre. It will take place one day after the Boys State High School Hockey Tournament wraps up at the Xcel Energy Center.
The Minnesota Wild sponsor the banquet, which is hosted, coordinated and presented by the Minnesota Minute Men.
The award-winner will be selected by a panel of NHL scouts, Collegiate Division I coaches, Division 3 coaches, USHL scouts and media members from around Minnesota. The banquet will also see the Frank Brimsek Award given to the state's top goaltender, the John Mariucci Award given to the Class A and Class AA high school coaches of the year and the Cliff Thompson Award presented to the "Old Timer Coach" of the year.
Despite the program's deep history of success, an Edina High School player has yet to bring home the title of Mr. Hockey. Lakeville South's Justin Kloos earned the distinction in 2012, while Eden Prairie's Kyle Rau was Mr. Hockey back in 2011.
Former Hornet standouts Max Everson and Steven Fogarty were both finalists for the award back in 2011.
