Edina Nonprofits Prepare for Give to the Max Day
Which local nonprofits will you be donating money to during Give to the Max Day 2012?

This Thursday, thousands of Minnesota nonprofits will ask supporters to maximize their charitable dollars by donating during GiveMN.org’s Give to the Max Day.
The Nov. 15 event offers incentives to inspire nonprofit and donor participation. Grants are available for the top-earning nonprofits in several categories, and there will also be random grants.
Last year, 47,539 people donated roughly $13.6 million to 4,000 nonprofits statewide during the day.

GiveMN, itself a nonprofit, also handed out another $4,161,929 last year in incentives for groups that met benchmarks for individual donations and dollars raised. Many groups also receiving matching funding from other sources during Give to the Max Day—which only adds to the fundraising impact.
Dozens of organizations in the GiveMN database call Edina home—more than the casual philanthropist could ever keep track of.
