Edina Police Holding Firearm Ownership Class Tuesday

Attendees will learn about the state's firearm laws and about child-gun safety.

The Edina Police Department is holding a couple classes to teach residents proper methods of handling weapons.

A "Responsible Firearms Ownership" class will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at the South Metro Public Safety Training Facility, 7525 Braemar Blvd.

“Whether you agree with stricter gun control or not, we can all agree that gun safety should be a top priority,” Edina Police Chief Jeff Long said in a statement.
