Edina's Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony Taking Place Saturday

The City of Edina will light its holiday tree at 50th and France at 5 p.m. on Nov. 24.

Once Thanksgiving leftovers are safely packed in the fridge and Black Friday madness has died off, the City of Edina will officially kick off the holiday season with its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony this Saturday.

The festivities are set to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, at the 50th & France shopping district. Free music, beverages and visits with Santa will be available to attendees throughout the event, which is set to wrap up around 5:30 p.m.

Santa will be visiting with youngsters from 3:30-5:30 p.m., with the Chamber Singers of Edina High School singing from 3 p.m. onward. The event culminates with the grand tree lighting ceremony at 5 p.m., featuring City Council Member Ann Swenson.
