Edina's Fall into the Arts Festival Expects Attendance of 20,000

About 200 sculptors, jewelers, photographers and other artisans will descend on Centennial Lakes Park this weekend for the tenth annual Fall into the Arts Festival. Organizers expect upwards of 20,000 people to attend the two-day festival.

"I think what makes it most unique is the location," said Mary Brindle, an Edina city council member who serves on the Crime Prevention Fund board, in a Channel 16 video. "They will find some of the artists that they've seen at other shows in some incidences, but they'll see a real variety."

The festival runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. All proceeds benefit the Edina police force.

"This is the big fundraiser for the year," police chief Jeff Long said. "All of the money after the expenses goes straight to the crime fund, and 100 percent of that money is used for the police department."
